In every form we observe mandatory fields. When a mandatory field is available in the form, it means user should fill that field without fail. Leaving the mandatory fields will cause in non submission of the form.

Many designers tend to mark optional fields by placing ?(optional)? after the field label. This approach makes the field label longer and wordier than it really is.

Most of these forms have required fields which means the user must fill these fields in order to submit the form successfully. There are multiple ways of providing this cue that a particular form field is required. Below, we will explore each of the methods.

Making a field required in Adobe Acrobat Open the necessary PDF form, choose Forms & Signatures > Prepare Form. Select the field that needs to be required, right click on it and choose Set as a Required Field: Save changes.
