Licensing digital material will involve getting written permission from the copyright holder. This may be a publisher, author, or rights licensing agency. From your repository on GitHub, create a new file with the "New File" button on the top bar in the repo. Name it "LICENSE.md" or "LICENSE. txt" and choose the right license from the license picker. You can also paste the license from the website .
