In Word for Mac, open Word 2192 Preferences 2192 View and uncheck the Field codes instead of values box in the Show in Document area. In LibreOffice, open Tools 2192 Options 2192 LibreOffice Writer 2192 View, and uncheck the Field codes box in the Display area.
