Limit Number Title For Free

There are many different ways to approach optimizing a title tag. One is making sure they fit within the 55-60 character limit. Though other SEOs suggest it's okay to have title tags that are up to 70 characters long.

The title should ideally be less than 64 characters in length. That is, many applications will display document titles in window titles, menus, etc where there is only limited room.

Keep title tags between 51-60 total characters, as this length appears to result in the fewest rewrites; note that Google will typically read your entire title tag even if it exceeds 60 characters, but it may truncate or rewrite it for display.

While you don't need to worry about Google cutting your title off, for a page title to be useful for SEO it should still stick to around 60-70 characters. Your page title should be long enough to entice the reader, but short enough to make the meaning and purpose of the page clear to both users and search engines.

In general, aim to keep your titles around 60 characters. For meta descriptions, it should be about 160 characters. Anything after this length, typically tends to get truncated in the search results.
