Quoting the docs, a List is a sequence of elements of the same data type. On the other hand, a Record is similar to a Structure. It is a type of data that can store several variables inside of it, following a template that you build.

A table has records (rows) and fields (columns). Fields have different types of data, such as text, numbers, dates, and hyperlinks. A record: Contains specific data, like information about a particular employee or a product.
