If you are interested in obtaining a permit from our office, please visit the SAPO website for resources and to learn about Street Activity Permits. You can apply online by visiting E-Apply and paying a non-refundable processing fee of $25.62 with a credit card or debit card.

Online: Submit your permit application and roster materials and pay associated fees through the Athletic Facilities Application Request System (AFAR). There is no charge to create an account secured with a personally-selected password. All information is stored on Fairfax County secured servers.

Permits are required for certain activities in BPC's Parks and need to be obtained in advance. These include, but are not limited to: group use of parks and ball fields; organized gatherings or athletic events; wedding ceremonies and wedding photography; commercial film, television, or still photography.

Tent, volleyball and other types of stakes can be used if prior permission is granted. Please note that you are required to meet with a Grounds Keeper if you will be inserting any stakes into the ground for your event. This will need to take place prior to your event.

To reserve an NYC Parks athletic field or court, organized leagues or individuals must request a permit. You can apply online or request a paper application. Apply for a field and court permit. Call 311 or 212-NEW-YORK (212-639-9675) to request a paper copy.

All special events permits require a $25.00 nonrefundable administrative processing fee, and permits require at least 30 days for processing.
