Delta eCredits usually expire after one year from date of purchase (not from the date of the original flight).

You'll get an eCredit or voucher. After an extension, all eCredits can be used until at least the end of 2023 ? and you can even even use them for travel through late 2024! If you cancel a flight today, you'll get a Delta eCredit valid for one year from the date you booked the original flight.
