Locate Currency Deed For Free

For all recent city land-related matters, contact the Land Records Division of the Circuit Court of Baltimore City at (410) 333-3760. Land records are a part of the Maryland State Archives holdings.

Deeds and most other documents kept by the Land Records Department are available through mdlandrec.net. This website is free to use but you must create an account using your name and email address. Search for your deed by first selecting the county where the property is located.

Deeds can be viewed for free online through mdlandrec.net. You must create an account with the Maryland State Archives to view deeds on mdlandrec.net. Many courthouses also have computer terminals you can use to search or review deeds.

Property records are public. People may use these records to get background information on purchases, mortgages, asset searches and other legal and financial transactions.

Recording the deed: Once all necessary taxes and fees have been paid, take the original deed, a copy of the deed, and the completed and signed Land Instrument Intake Sheet to the Division of Land Records at the Circuit Court. You must pay the recording fee.

You can obtain Official Copies of the Title Register, Title Plan and Filed Deeds directly from the Land Registry only by making a postal application using either form OC1 (for the Title Register and/or Title Plan) or form OC2 (for Filed Deeds). You cannot obtain Official Copies directly from the Land Registry online.

You can search for property records and property ownership information online, in person, or over the phone with a 311 representative. Property owners of all boroughs except Staten Island can visit ACRIS. To search documents for Staten Island property, visit the Richmond County Clerk's website.
