COVID-19 Update: LSAC has announced that they will be offering an online, live remote-proctored format through June 2022.Starting in August 2021, the LSAT will continue to have three scored sections, but will add back in a fourth, unscored variable section.

Once you register for the LSAT, you can request a full refund of the registration fee ($200 refund) through your test's full refund deadline. (Generally, the full refund deadline is the same as the test's registration deadline.)

Can I change my test date? Yes, if your administration's Test Date Change Deadline has not yet passed, you may change your test date through the LSAT Status page of your LSAC online account. Note that additional fees may apply.

We recommend that you submit your applications between late September and early November. Typically, students applying for regular fall admission take the test during June or September/October of the previous calendar year.

Law schools won't consider your application complete until they have all required components, including your LSAT score. If you don't have an LSAT score for them to review, they won't look at your file. You won't benefit from submitting your application early unless admissions officers actually look at your file early.

Please note: There are no refunds for canceled scores. Valid score cancellation requests are irreversible and cannot be rescinded.

The LSAT is already a slogremember that with the experimental 5th section on test day, the regular LSAT lasts over 3 hours. An extra 50% brings it up to 4.5 hours; this is long, but still manageable, and almost always worthwhile. Doubling the test time, on the other hand, turns the LSAT into a 6-hour mental marathon.
