Due to the difficulty of the test, law schools generally understand that students may not receive their ideal score the first time around. As a rule, schools look for score improvements overall, and do not necessarily view multiple attempts at the LSAT as a negative factor on an application.

There is a lot more risk involved in taking the LSAT a third time as you don't have another chance to take it after that and many schools will look on a third LSAT score unfavorably if it's not a significant improvement over your previous two scores.

This is important. Use of scratch paper is not permitted during LSAT Writing, unless requested and approved as a testing accommodation. (The LSAT Writing interface includes a digital ?Scratch Paper? section where test takers can type notes, instead of writing them on a physical piece of scratch paper.)

Around two-thirds of the test-takers are first-time LSAT takers, one-third make up those taking the LSAT twice, and only a small number of test-takers take the LSAT the third time in a testing cycle. These numbers show you that on average, most students take the LSAT only once.

Technically there is no passing score on the LSAT. With that being said, the average person can 100% do well on the LSAT. In order to do well on this exam, you will need to spend an ample amount of time studying. It is generally recommended that you spend between 200 and 300 total hours preparing.

Testing and Equipment Requirements A laptop or desktop computer with one of the following active and licensed operating systems: Windows 8.1, MacOS 10.13 to 12.6.5, or MacOS Ventura 13.3.1 and above. A screen resolution of 1024x768. A webcam with a resolution of 640x480p and a microphone.

How many times may I take the LSAT? Three times in a single testing year (the next testing cycle begins with the August 2022 test). Five times within the current and five past testing years (the period in which LSAC reports scores to law schools). A total of seven times over a lifetime.

Whether you take the LSAT at home or at a testing center, you'll be given the same version of the exam LSAC has used since 2021. There will be four sections: one Logical Reasoning, one Reading Comp, one Logic Games, and one unscored ?experimental? section.

Likewise, a 2.5 or lower GPA is typically just too much ballast to overcome. Even if you do get an excellent LSAT score, say a 175, you might still have a tough time getting into the top 10 schools.
