Following a settlement last week between a legally blind student and the Law School Admission Council, the Law School Admission Test will no longer include the analytical reasoning section. In response, LSAC and the plaintiffs agreed to a gradual removal of the logic games.

A score of 145 on the LSAT is a bad score. The median score on the LSAT tends to be about 152which is also considered to be a bad score. Scores in the high 150s and in the 160s can be either good or bad scores depending upon the median score for any particular law school.

Canceling Your LSAT Score It depends. Admissions officers understand that bad days can and do happen, and they generally won't look askance at a single score cancellation. Most of them remain agnostic in that situation. However, if you cancel it a second or a third time, at best you start looking like a flake.

The Scoring Scale Generally, the scoring of an LSAT breaks down like this: 10% of test takers score a 162 or above; 20% of test takers score a 142 or below; 70% of test takers are in the middle between a 142 and 162.

A 143 is below average (the average LSAT score being 150). Bringing that up to a 179, just one point shy of a perfect LSAT score of 180, is certainly impressive! However, a score of 179 alone is not enough to ensure admission to Harvard Law School.
