Valid score cancellation requests are irreversible and cannot be rescinded. Once your score is released, it becomes a permanent part of your record, and you will not be permitted to cancel that score unless you have purchased LSAT Score Preview.

Law schools do not average the scores for admission, but we always look at performance if you've taken the test more than once. Ideally, it would be best if every applicant could secure their ideal LSAT score on the first attempt, but that is often not the case. Law schools will report the highest LSAT score.

If you decide to cancel your score after you have taken the LSAT, you must call LSAC directly at 800-551-8378 no later than the following day (e.g., Tuesday at pm ET). If you do not call by this deadline, your cancellation request will not be processed.

The LSAC currently allows test takers to cancel their score six days after the exam. (It must be done by PM ET on the sixth day.) No applicant wants his or her LSAT score to drop upon taking the exam for a second or third time.

You have six calendar days from the day you took the LSAT to let LSAC know if you want to cancel your score.

You can withdraw. The withdrawal doesn't even show up on your LSAT Score Report. So, if you're not feeling like you'll score your best on test day, know that you have right up until midnight of the night before to decide if you want to take it.
