When it comes to updating the resolution date, there are no functions that would do that. There is a feature request suggesting to add this option on the ?bulk edit? issues: Add the Option to Change the Resolution Date in Bulk Edit.

The resolution field is a special one, and you can only edit it if you add it to a screen, change it as part of a post function, or set it using an automation.

To associate a resolution with a status: Go to the relevant workflow. Click 'Edit' Click the transition to the status you would like to add a resolution to.
