From start up-Menu (on the left bottom section in chartco), click on Corrections. Click on ENC (top bar) and corrections (Right side bar). This list will show you the pending corrections to your active cells. Click on the ?Collect and transfer to ECDIS? at the bottom of the screen.

3 System Electronic Navigational Chart (SENC) means a database resulting from the transformation of the ENC by ECDIS for appropriate use, updates to the ENC by appropriate means and other data added by the mariner.

Weekly ENC updates can also be downloaded by clicking on the yellow button Update Charts if there are updates available to download. Step 2: After the download of AVCS ENC charts is complete, click on the tab Export for ECDIS to export the AVCS ENC charts to a USB or CD.

Manual updating: Manual updating allows the navigating officers to apply their own navigational information to supplement the existing ENC data. This information remains separate from the contents of the ENC data already installed in the ECDIS, however can be displayed together with the ENC data.

Official charts are those, and only those, produced by a government hydrographic office (HO). Unofficial charts are produced by a variety of private companies and may or may not meet the same standards used by HO's for data accuracy, currency, and completeness.

Updates to ENCs are sequential, and the sequence is unique to each ENC. During the updating process ECDIS always checks that all updates in the sequence have been applied. If an update is missing then the ECDIS will indicate this; it is not possible to load later updates until the missing update is applied.

When T&Ps are included in ENC data, they are applied as a standard update, but with a date dependent attribute (a valid to/from date). Unfortunately, T&P updates are not always obvious to the user. An ECDIS route scan will only detect the presence of a T&P (within the cross-track corridor) if it has a danger attribute.
