Merge Required Field Contract For Free

A merge field is a placeholder in an email template or letterhead. When you send the email, the placeholder is replaced with the Salesforce data from the record or records of the people you are emailing. When using merge fields, it's a good idea to understand how they work and what to expect in your merged emails.

Note: Merge-fields of custom fields won't work if the primary object doesn't have a relationship with the secondary object which the custom field is from. To create lookup filters in either Salesforce Classic or Lightning Experience, please review Define Lookup Filters.

Adding Simple Merge Fields Open a Microsoft Word document. Click where you want to place a merge field. In the Insert tab, click Quick Parts and then Field?. Under Categories, select (All). Under Field names, select MergeField. Type the name of the merge field under Field name. Click OK.

This merge field references all fields related to the Primary Contact on the Salesforce CPQ quote object. This merge field references all fields related to the Sales Rep on the Salesforce CPQ quote object. References the Primary Contact lookup (to the Contact object) field on the quote object.

This is possible by checking the Master Contract checkbox on one Contract and a group of Contracts on an account share the same key for the ContractGroup field.

If you don't see your field name in the list, choose Insert Merge Field. Choose Database Fields to see the list of fields that are in your data source. Choose Insert.
