Modify Link Resolution For Free

I use my Quest 2 almost 100% for PC Link via the Link Cable. I have my graphics preferences set to 120hz and 1.5x in the rendering resolution which equates to 4128x2096. I notice that this is WAY higher than the default 1x 2816 x 1424.

Encode Resolution Width allows you to adjust the pixels displayed in your image. It is default set to 0, making it dynamic between Air Link and Oculus Link. This requires you to play around with it, so start at 2800 and go up from there to a max of 4064. Link Sharpening helps sharpen images, sort of like Anti-aliasing.

With it being installed, you can adjust the resolution in the app, all the way up to 5408 x 2736. Remember that the 'recommended' render resolution (the vertical line on the bar) will shift based on your refresh rate. If you plan to play at higher refresh rates, your resolution will change if you keep it on Automatic.

Link graphics performance preferences Open the Oculus Desktop app on your computer. Click Devices on the left-hand side of the app. Click Quest 2 or Quest Pro. Scroll down to Graphics preferences. Here you can adjust your Refresh Rate and Render Resolution.

The render resolution for the headset is 5408x2736, which Oculus confusingly calls anything from 1.5x to like 1.9x depending on Refresh Rate.

The max resolution is always 5408x2736. If you want more resolution, you can use Pixels Per Display Pixel Override in Debug Tool. This is multiplier setting. The default setting is 0, which is x1 resolution of PC app.

Poor image quality on wired Oculus Link Lower-quality or slow cables with lower transfer speeds could cause the Quest Link software to downgrade the image quality. If swapping the cable out for a better one isn't an option, you could always try to adjust the bitrate that Quest Link sends through the cable.
