Review details of move with the moving company. Create a moving schedule. Return borrowed items. Get things back that you have loaned out. Purchase packing materials, if needed. Arrange to disconnect cable, phone & internet. Coordinate childcare for moving days. Complete change of address form with the post office.

Tell your bank/credit card provider/loan company of your change of address. Inform both your life insurer and your car insurance provider of your new address, but make sure your car insurance details aren't scheduled to change until the day you move in.

You should start packing for your move at least 3 weeks prior to your anticipated move date. The actual moving preparation process should start at least 6-8 weeks before your move.
