Hold down Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac OS) while clicking a button to display the Bullets And Numbering dialog box. Choose Bullets And Numbering from the Paragraph panel or Command panel. For List Type, choose either Bullets or Numbers. Specify the settings you want, and then click OK.

Turn lines of text into a bulleted list by selecting the text and then clicking Home> Paragraph> Bullets. Each line or paragraph becomes a bullet in the list. Tip: Press Enter to move text to its own line, or press Enter twice to end the bulleted list.

One possible solution to this issue is to check if the ?Set left- and first-indent with tabs and backspaces? option is enabled. To do this, open Word and click on ?File? then select ?Options?. From there, click on ?Proofing? and select ?AutoCorrect Options?.

Go to Word-->Preferences-->Edit. Click the box that says, "Tab and backspace set left indent." That should do it.

Position the cursor where you want to insert the bullet list. On the Home tab in the Ribbon, click the bullet list button, as shown at the top of the page. If successful, a bullet should appear. Type any text and press Enter to start the next bullet.

Under the "Home" tab, locate the "Paragraph" group > Click the [Numbering] or [Bullets] icon. Within the drop-down menu, click "Change List Level" > Click the level of organization you would like to apply to the selected list item.

On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, select the arrow next to Multilevel List, and then select Change List Level. Select the level where you want the bullet.
