Plan Footnote Notice For Free

The footnote contains the number of the citation followed by a period and then the citation itself. The citation always includes the author's name and the title of the text, and it always ends with a period. Full notes also include all the relevant publication information in parentheses (which varies by source type).

Footnotes appear at the bottom, or foot, of the page. They begin two double spaces below the text. Footnotes are single spaced, but you must double space between them. If a note continues on the next page, add a solid line across that page two spaces below the text and continue the note two spaces below the line.

Place the cursor where you want to add a footnote, and type a number or symbol, like "1". Select Insert > Header & Footer. On the Slide tab, select Footer, and in the Footer box, type the number or symbol you added in step 1, and then type the text that you want to appear in the footnote at the bottom of your slide.

Insert footnotes and endnotes Click where you want to reference to the footnote or endnote. On the References tab, select Insert Footnote or Insert Endnote. Enter what you want in the footnote or endnote. Return to your place in the document by double-clicking the number or symbol at the beginning of the note.

In both MLA and APA, a footnote example includes the citation found at the bottom, or foot, of the page corresponding to the superscript number found in the body of the work. The footnote might consist of the type of work and author's name along with other information related to the type of citation.

APA footnotes use superscript numbers and should appear in numerical order. You can place footnotes at the bottom of the relevant pages, or on a separate footnotes page at the end: For footnotes at the bottom of the page, you can use your word processor to automatically insert footnotes.

Using the Notes drop-down list at the top of the Footnotes pane, choose Footnote Continuation Notice. The current notice appears in the window. (Note that the notice might be originally blank, so you might not see anything in the window.) Change the notice as desired.
