Plot Settlement For Free

The assignment of the settlers can be directed by the player, or can be automated by the mod. Sim Settlements Plots are available in two basic forms: Exterior and Interior, and a number of different types: Residential, Agricultural, Commercial, Industrial, Recreational, and Martial.

For plots and cities to upgrade you need all food/water/defense needs met and 70 happiness to get level 2 plots and level 1 cities. Then 80 for level 3 plots and level 2 cities and 90 for level 3 cities. You also need 100% scrap collected for city upgrades. You can check that at the supplies safe on the CP desk.

The Sim Settlements Menu in the Workshop has a category for each of the Plot Types, and within those categories will be choices for Exterior and Interior Plots. When selected, Exterior Plots will appear as a square with a triangle shape on one edge, indicating the front of the Plot.

A Plot is a general framework upon which Building Plans are implemented. Or built, if you want to simplify it. Plots come in several different sizes (1x1, 2x2, 3x3 or interior), and all Building Plans are designed to fit a particular Plot size.

Settlers can be manually assigned to plots by using Workshop Build mode, selecting the settler and then assigning them to the plot. They can also be auto-assigned, depending on the settings you have selected in the City Manager Holotape and Workshop Framework. The default is Auto-Assignment.

Sim Settlements is a Mod for Fallout 4 that allows you to build zone objects that tell the settlers what type of buildings to create in different areas of your settlement and they will do so. It includes a progression system, a more interesting settler needs system, and rewards to help settlements matter more.

If you have specific needs, choose the appropriate Building Class, and a random Building Plan of that type will be selected. After you have placed your Plot, Sim Settlements 2 will choose from among the loaded library of Building Plan designs for that Plot Type and Size.
