An academic transcript must contain a detailed description of a student's academic performance including the subjects, practical work, and other academic aspects. An academic transcript generally includes the following information: The student's full name. Name of the educational institution along with its address.

Colleges and universities may ask for transcripts, grade point average (GPA), grades, and class ranking. They might also want to know more about the courses you took, their academic rigor, and whether they were through higher level course programs such as Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB).

In order for transcripts to be considered official they must be: Printed on security paper directly and/or displaying an official raised seal from the college or university, per the institutions standard practice.

You must contact your institution and request that they provide an official transcript to ontariocolleges.ca. The institution can mail us a paper copy in a sealed envelope or email a PDF version to service@ocas.ca. Transcripts from some provinces may need to be mailed in by the applicant.

When required, official transcripts should be mailed to: University Admissions and Outreach, 172 St. George St., Toronto ON M5R 0A3. Documents received by the University Admissions and Outreach office become the property of the University and will not be returned or forwarded to other institutions.

Make sure the scanned document is fully legible and can be printed on letter size paper (8.5 x 11 inches).
