But two expanded forms are used in India. The DD MMMM YYYY usage (e.g. 21 October 2022) is more prevalent over the MMMM DD, YYYY (e.g. October 21, 2022) usage except the latter is more used by media publications, such as the print version of the Times of India and The Hindu.

The international standard recommends writing the date as year, then month, then the day: YYYY-MM-DD. So if both Australians and Americans used this, they would both write the date as 2019-02-03. Writing the date this way avoids confusion by placing the year first. Much of Asia uses this form when writing the date.

The ISO date format The international format defined by ISO (ISO 8601) tries to address all these problems by defining a numerical date system as follows: YYYY - MM - DD where. YYYY is the year [all the digits, i.e. 2012] MM is the month [01 (January) to 12 (December)] DD is the day [01 to 31]

To specify the date and time format, select DATE_TIME_FORMAT, and click Add. If you do not define a new format, the default dd MMM yyyy hh:mm:ss a format is used in PDF files. Specify the Configuration Value. For example, for the date to appear as 21/08/2020, add the DATE_FORMAT as dd/MM/yyyy.

Dd/MM/yyyy ? Example: 23/06/2013. yyyy/M/d ? Example: 2013/6/23. yyyy-MM-dd ? Example: 2013-06-23.

Although the standard allows both the "YYYY-MM-DD" and YYYYMMDD formats for complete calendar date representations, if the day [DD] is omitted then only the YYYY-MM format is allowed. By disallowing dates of the form YYYYMM, the standard avoids confusion with the truncated representation YYMMDD (still often used).

Place the year before the month and conclude with the day. The same date, which would be 10/09/22 in American English but 09/10/22 in British English becomes 2022-10-09 in the International Standard. You could also write this date out as 2022 October 9. Don't use commas between any of the data points.
