For the majority of Springer journals, publishing an article is free of charge. If a journal requires page charges, you will find them on the journal's springer.com homepage or in its Instructions for Authors. Charges might apply e.g. for color figures or over-length articles.

Authors grant SpringerOpen a license to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher. Authors also grant any third party the right to use the article freely as long as its integrity is maintained and its original authors, citation details and publisher are identified.
