Abbott initiated a voluntary, proactive recall of powder formulas including Similac and Alimentum, which were manufactured at one of the company's facilities in Sturgis. The recall does NOT include any nutritional formulas for metabolic deficiencies.

The specialized powder formulas recalled were Similac Alimentum, Similac Elecare and Similac PM 60/40. At this time, it is likely that very little product affected by the powder formula recall remains in any store or home.
