Click the "Insert" tab on the Word ribbon. Click "Quick Parts" in the Text group. Click "Field" to open the Field dialog box. Click "FileName" from the "Field Names" list. Click a capitalization format in the "Format" list. Check the box, if you want, to "Add path to filename."

Open the merge document through the parameter file (not the finished product document). Highlight all the merge fields at once. Select Styles and Formatting from the Format menu. A window appears showing the current format. Select the 'Normal' formatting to each of the merge fields. Re-run the merge.

Click the Insert tab in the main program menu Ribbon. In the Text tools group, click Text Box, followed by Draw Text Box. Draw the text box to your preferred size by dragging the placeholders at the corners and sides of the box object.

Click or tap where you want the merge field. Choose the down-arrow under Insert Merge Field, and select a field. If you don't see your field name in the list, choose Insert Merge Field. Choose Database Fields to see the list of fields that are in your data source. Choose Insert.

Open a Microsoft Word document. Click where you want to place a merge field. In the Insert tab, click Quick Parts and then Field2026. Under Categories, select (All). Under Field names, select MergeField. Type the name of the merge field under Field name. Click OK.

Right-click the field, and then click Edit Field . Do one of the following: If Field properties and Field options are displayed, select the formatting options that you want. If only the field code is displayed, click Options , and then select the formatting options that you want.

Open desired Word document. Place cursor where merge field is desired. Press CTRL and F9 together and { } in gray will appear. Right-click on the { } field and select Edit Field. In pop-up box, select Mail Merge from Categories and then MergeField from Field Names.
