A review provides limited assurance and is narrower in scope as compared to an audit. It does not involve an investigation of the company's internal control systems and the risk of fraud. It also does not test the accounting records as an audit.

33. (1) While preparing financial results, the listed entity shall comply with the following: (a)The financial results shall be prepared on the basis of accrual accounting policy and shall be in ance with uniform accounting practices adopted for all the periods.

An important difference between an audit and a review is that an audit provides more reasonable assurance, whereas a review does not and the accountant does not express an opinion.
