Able Word is one of the best free bates numbering programs in the market. You can use it to add page numbering to PDF documents as you want. In fact, it can do more than that. This app can be used to edit almost everything in your document, including text and images.

ESI evidence (which derives from the 1s and 0s of computer bits and bytes) does not require a Bates-stamp because it has something even better - a unique fingerprint. For every computer file, there is a 32-digit key that is unique to that file.

While the original Bates stamps only used numbers (up to a maximum of 9999), there is no set format for Bates numbering. It may be purely numeric or alphanumeric. Either way, Bates numbering is essentially a paper-based method, most useful for printed productions or page-based images.

You cannot edit Bates page numbering after you've added it to a document. You can, however, delete Bates numbering and apply a different Bates numbering formula.

Place the cursor in the box labeled ?Right Footer Text.? 6. Click ?Insert Bates Number.? The system will default to inserting 6 Digits and start at number one. Click ?Ok.? 7. Click ?Ok? a second time and the document will now be numbered sequentially.

In Acrobat, select All tools > View more > Add a stamp > Stamps pallette. Select Import, and then Browse and select the file. If the file has more than one page, scroll to the page you want, and then select OK. Choose a category from the menu or type a new category name, name the custom stamp, and then select OK.
