On the left navigation pane, select the Table columns pane, and then select New table column. In the New column pane, provide the Display name for the column. Select the Data type and configure any other required properties of the column. Select Save to create a new column on the table.

From the app authoring menu in Power Apps Stuido, select Data > Add data. Expand Connectors, and if the list of connections includes the one that you want, select it to add it to the app. Otherwise, skip to the next step. To connect to a table in Microsoft Dataverse instead, choose a table from the list of tables.

The AddColumns function adds a column to a table, and a formula defines the values in that column. Existing columns remain unmodified. The formula is evaluated for each record of the table. Fields of the record currently being processed are available within the formula.

Difference between a column and row The key difference between columns and rows is that a column arranges data vertically from top to bottom, while a row arranges data horizontally from left to right. Rows and columns are different based on how they align data.

AddColumn() is not permanently transformative. That is, it doesn't change the Collection for any longer than the length of the statement. After the statement executes your Collection goes back to being what it was. If you want to preserve the new columns, you have to Add them at the same time you Collect your records.
