When data is imported into Excel it can be in many formats depending on the source application that has provided it.You can split the data by using a common delimiter character. A delimiter character is usually a comma, tab, space, or a semi-colon. This character separates each chunk of data within the text string.

Split() The split() method divides a String into an ordered list of substrings, puts these substrings into an array, and returns the array.

Split is used to break a delimited string into substrings. You can use either a character array or a string array to specify zero or more delimiting characters or strings. If no delimiting characters are specified, the string is split at white-space characters.
