Step 1: Open the Settings app on your phone and tap on Notifications. Step 2: Tap on Advanced settings. Step 3: Enable the toggle next to App icon badges. Step 4: If you want to see notification badges when Do Not Disturb is active, return to the Notifications page and select Do not disturb.

Cause of Notifications Not Showing Up on Android Do Not Disturb or Airplane Mode is on. Either system or app notifications are turned off. If you want to change badge with number, you can be changed in NOTIFICATION SETTING on the notification panel or Settings > Notifications > App icon badges > Select Show with number.

1) In order to read the whole notification (sometimes you can only see parts of it as the text is longer than the window allows showing) on the locked screen, please tap on the text with your finger and then pull it slightly down. You will then be able to read the complete text.

Change global settings Open the Messages app . Tap More. Settings. Stop notifications from other apps: Tap Notifications. Turn off All "Default settings" notifications. Get notifications on your phone from Messages: Tap Notifications. Turn on Incoming messages.

A missing or incorrect notification count on the WhatsApp icon is usually caused by an issue with your launcher. If you are not seeing the notification dot on your icon, you may need to remove the shortcut and drag a new shortcut out of your Apps drawer.
