To change the formatting of the footnote numbers, select the Footnotes Reference Style. If you want to change the formatting of the footnote text at the bottom of the page, select the Footnote Text Style. Click Modify, and then change the formatting options (font, size, and so on).

Insert footnotes and endnotes Click where you want to reference to the footnote or endnote. On the References tab, select Insert Footnote or Insert Endnote. If you are using a footnote style with no Citation template in the output style, then they will ?disappear? because there is nothing defined that should be displayed.

Answer Press Ctrl+Shift+S to Apply Styles. Footnote Text. Click Modify. Click Format. Select Paragraph. Under Line and Page Breaks tab. Check box by Keep lines together. Click OK.
