Store Break Log For Free

Storing your logs in the cloud allows your storage capacity to scale in line with your log data demands without compromising on how quickly you can access it?adding more capacity or log data doesn't slow down retrieval.

If you don't have a woodshed, then make sure where you store the wood is in a dry, well-ventilated area which is protected from dampness and rain. You should also allow air to be able to flow in, under and around the logs. Cross-stacking wood is best.

Firewood is best stored outside. It should be stored neatly, with the outside of the wood exposed to the air. If possible, you should place the wood on top of plastic sheeting or in a wooden log store. Avoid tree cover if possible and don't leave the logs in a heap.

There are typically two ways to do this: You can use CloudWatch with ChaosSearch by exporting CloudWatch logs, moving them to an Amazon S3 bucket and indexing these logs and other log data stored in S3 using ChaosSearch. You can bypass the AWS CloudWatch log process and push logs directly into Amazon S3.

Your log store should strategically located in direct sunlight (ideally south facing), allow good airflow, and where it can be easily accessed. In most cases, log stores are open at the front, have a slanted roof, and supplied with a raised floor.

Logs are stored as a file on the Log Server. A separate folder is created for the logged events each hour. The log files are stored by default in the <installation directory>/data/ storage/ directory on the Log Server.
