Deeds are public information. This means anyone can view and get a copy of a deed. Deeds can be viewed for free online through mdlandrec.net. You must create an account with the Maryland State Archives to view deeds on mdlandrec.net.

In Michigan, a deed must be signed by the grantor, notarized, and recorded to the Register of Deeds for the property transfer to be considered valid and effective.

Michigan deeds must meet the following content requirements: Grantor and grantee names and address. A Michigan deed must identify the current owner making the transfer (the grantor) and the new owner receiving the property (the grantee). The grantee's mailing address must also be listed in the deed.

The title search is conducted by accessing the information related to that particular property via public records. You need only locate your Michigan county's register of deeds and search the recorded property information. All documents recorded with the register of deeds are available to the public.

If you do not have your deed, then you can get a recorded copy of it at the Register of Deeds; and a recorded copy is just as good as the original. You can come in person, send us a request by mail, or search online. Search and copy fees will apply.

Company Deed means a deed of the Company conveying to the Issuer title to the Facilities or any portion of the Facilities, subject to Permitted Encumbrances, substantially in the form set forth as Exhibit B hereto.

The County Recorder's Office will provide an official copy of a deed record for $1 per page (most deeds consist of 1 to 2 pages). If you encounter such a mailing, please call the Recorders Office (317-776-9717) or report it to the Indiana Attorney General's Office (1-800-382-5516).

Regardless of the number of pages, all documents will cost $30 to record, this cost is inclusive of Michigan Remonumentation and Register of Deeds Automation fees.
