Willy Wonka has hidden Golden Tickets in some of his chocolate Wonka Bars. Finders of the Golden Tickets will receive a lifetime supply of chocolate and will be personally escorted on a tour of the mysterious factory by Mr. Wonka himself.

Golden Tickets have been hidden in five bars of chocolate; the lucky people who find Golden Tickets will win a tour of the factory and a lifetime supply of chocolate. Soon, Charlie learns the enormous eater, Augustus Gloop, has found the first Golden Ticket in Munich, Germany ("I Eat More").

How to Make a Golden Ticket (Willy Wonka Inspired) Get yellow or gold paper. Either color will do. Draw a out line like waves, zig-zag, etc. Write "Amanda" (if your name is Amanda...) on top of it. Augustus Gloop. Augustus Gloop is an obese, greedy, 9-year-old boy, the first person to find a Golden Ticket and one of the four main antagonists of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He hails from the fictional town of Dusselheim, Germany in the 1971 film, and Dusseldorf, Germany in the 2005 film.

To promote the 2005 film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, five different Wonka products (including one Wonka bar) were each packaged with a Golden Ticket, as in the novel and films. Each Golden Ticket awarded a different prize to its finder; the one in the Wonka bar awarded $10,000 cash.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is not based on a true story. It is a novel, so it is fictional. It was complete imagined by the author, Roald Dahl. He was inspired to write the story because of experiences he had as a child when candy companies would solicit input from children about their products.

The Candy Man rewards Charlie with a Wonka bar for being "such a good kid." The starving boy wolfs it down and then immediately purchases another Wonka bar, looks at it hopefully ("Think Positive ? Reprise"). Sure enough, Charlie opens the candy bar and finds the final Golden Ticket ("I've Got a Golden Ticket")!
