A credit support provider is any party designated within the ISDA Master Agreement as providing some form of credit support to one of the parties (eg, a guarantee). Parties may specify within the schedule to the ISDA Master Agreement that automatic early termination will apply.

The framework consists of a master agreement, a schedule, confirmations, definition booklets, and credit support documentation. The master agreement is a document agreed to between two parties that sets out standard terms that apply to all the transactions entered into between those parties.

The ISDA Master Agreement is an umbrella agreement which sets out the overarching terms between the parties who want to trade OTC derivatives. There are two main versions which are still commonly used in the market: the 1992 ISDA Master Agreement (Multicurrency ? Cross Border) and 2002 ISDA Master Agreement.

GMRA is the acronym for the Global Master Repurchase Agreement. It is a model legal agreement designed for parties transacting repos and is published by the International Capital Market Association (ICMA), which is the body representing the cross-border bond and repo markets in Europe.

The GMRA contains a provision for a recipient of cash margin to pay interest on the cash to the paying party. The MRA does not contain a parallel provision, as this type of arrangement has not been the standard practice in the U.S. market.
