Waivers are the process by which owners can select from the pool of available players who are not on a team's roster in the league. They may have been undrafted or dropped by owners.The team that puts a claim on a player - and who has the higher waiver priority number - will receive the player when waivers clear.

Managers are ranked from high to low to determine who wins a waiver claim. The initial priority rank is determined by the league's draft: Every time a manager's claim is successful, they drop to the bottom of the priority list. The priority list is never reset.

The League Manager (LM) has the option of modifying waiver settings and player signings allowed during the season. NOTE: This setting cannot be changed after the league has drafted.

Waivers put temporary freezes on unclaimed players, giving everyone a chance to make a claim on them. When this time period ends, all waiver claims are processed and the manager with the highest waiver priority gets the player.

Waivers are a tool through which a team can send a player to the minors. A player who has to go through waivers is offered up to all other teams before he can be placed in the minors. If claimed by a team, that team must assume the player's existing contract and it is taken off the player's former team's books.

Waiver System (In-season) The waiver order during the season determines who has the first chance to claim a player on waivers. Move to last after claim, never reset order -- The team which makes the most recent pickup is automatically moved to the last slot.

Regardless of which option is selected, after a team makes a successful waiver claim that team is shifted to the last position in the waiver queue. The initial waiver order for both types of league is the reverse draft order. Whoever picked last in the draft will be first in the waiver order for the first gameweek.
