When you want someone to contribute to your sign-up sheet or school project, share a link to the document in your OneDrive. When you choose Get a link and set the permission to Edit, anyone who gets the link can edit the doc without having to sign in.

Collaborate in Word Select Share. on the ribbon. Or, select File > Share. Note: If your file is not already saved to OneDrive, you'll be prompted to upload your file to OneDrive to share it. Select who you want to share with from the drop-down, or enter a name or email address. Add a message (optional) and select Send.

Share your document using OneDrive Click on the "File" tab, followed by the "Share" button. Enter the emails of the people you want to share your document with or select their email addresses from a drop-down list of saved contacts. Click on the "Edit" option to give editing permission to the people who click the link.
