Medi-Cal is California's Medicaid health care program that provides no-cost or low-cost health insurance to Californians. Central California Alliance for Health (the Alliance) is a health plan for people who have Medi-Cal.

Established in January 1996, the Alliance was created by and for Alameda County residents. The Alliance currently provides health care coverage to over 300,000 children and adults through their programs: Medi-Cal and Alliance Group Care.
