(e) The landlord may include the termination fee in any written notice required by this section to terminate the tenant's tenancy, but the written notice need not expressly provide that the fee will be charged. A notice that is not accompanied by a fee must provide the amount of the fee to be charged. (a) A landlord shall deliver written notice of a decision on a termination under subsection (d) of this section to the tenant to the same extent and in the same manner as a tenant would receive the notice required to terminate a short-term rental lease by § 434.18 of this title, unless the landlord has waived that right under the circumstances set forth in §§ 434.19 and 434.21 of this title.
