Pursuant to the Uniform Commercial Code, a firm offer is an offer stating in writing that it is irrevocable for a set time. As long as it is stipulated in a signed writing that the offer is to be held open, it need not be supported by consideration to be binding. This form is an example of a firm offer with consideration.
