A. In this chapter, we describe certain obligations, privileges, rights, and duties of a security owner in the event of the foreclosure of the mortgaged property. The term mortgage includes all loans or other indebtedness on the mortgage. The term holder of a mortgage includes any person that holds possession, right of possession, or right of disposition of the mortgage or a portion thereof, and any successor in interest.
