Employers are required by law to give employees time off for jury duty and for people selected to serve as a juror. The law does not require employers to pay an employee's salary during this time. Jurors receive the following payment for serving on a jury: From day one to ten: No fee.

Texas law does not currently require that jury duty leave be paid, except for those who are salaried exempt employees (see below).
