Description
Giving notice of the kind embodied in the form set forth above is not essential to the exercise of the seller's right to proceed to identify goods to the contract. Giving notice is, however, desirable from the seller's standpoint, since it informs the buyer that the buyer's conduct is regarded as a breach and that the buyer is now liable for the purchase price of the goods. From the buyer's standpoint it is desirable because, if the risk of loss has in fact passed to the buyer, the buyer may wish to effect insurance on the goods.
