Under VEVRAA, Federal Contractors are required to report employment and hires data for each hiring location. The data shall be broken down by protected veterans within each EEO Category.

As a protected veteran under Section 4212, you have the right to work in an environment free of discrimination. You cannot be denied employment, harassed, demoted, terminated, paid less or treated less favorably because of your veteran status.

The VETS-100A Report is now named the VETS-4212 Report. The VETS-100 Report is rescinded, rendering obsolete the VETS reporting requirements applicable to Government contracts and subcontracts entered into before December 1, 2003. The term covered veteran is replaced with the term protected veteran.

Employers required to file the VETS-4212 Report must file a completed report for its establishment. Multiple establishment employers with more than one hiring location must file a VETS-4212 Report for the headquarters office and for each establishment.

VETS reporting requires employers with qualifying federal government contracts to report employee informationincluding which employees are protected veteranannually using the VETS-4212 Report. Protected veterans include those who are: Active duty wartime or campaign badge veterans.
