Under the OSH law, employers have a responsibility to provide a safe workplace. This is a short summary of key employer responsibilities: Provide a workplace free from serious recognized hazards and comply with standards, rules and regulations issued under the OSH Act.

Posting requirements The citation must be prominently posted by the employer at or near each place of violation referred to and in a place where it is readily seen by all affected employeesand must remain posted for a period of three working days or until the condition is abated, whichever is longer.
