Section 1692e, provides, in part, as follows: "A debt collector may not use any false, deceptive, or misleading representation or means in connection with the collection of any debt. Without limiting the general application of the foregoing, the following conduct is a violation of this section:

"(13) The false representation or implication that documents are legal process."

Dear [Debt Collector's Name], I am writing to formally inform you of false or misleading misrepresentations in your collection activities regarding my outstanding debt. I have recently become aware that you have been falsely representing or implying that certain documents provided to me are legal process, which is a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FD CPA) and the laws of Bronx, New York. Upon careful review of the documents in question, it has come to my attention that they do not meet the necessary criteria to be considered legal process. Falsely representing or implying that these documents hold the weight of legal action is deceptive, unfair, and in violation of my rights as a consumer. I am concerned that your actions are an attempt to intimidate or mislead me into making payments or taking actions that are not required or legitimate under the law. These false representations not only violate the FD CPA, but they also undermine my trust in your collection activities. It is important to note that misrepresenting or implying that a document is legal process in order to coerce a consumer into paying a debt is strictly prohibited. As a debtor, I have the right to be provided with accurate and truthful information about my debt obligations. Failing to comply with these requirements can result in legal consequences and potential penalties against your agency. I kindly request that you cease all further attempts to falsely represent or imply that the documents provided to me are legal process. I expect all future communications to be honest, transparent, and compliant with the FD CPA and the laws of Bronx, New York. Furthermore, I request that you provide me with clear and accurate information regarding the validity and nature of the debt. Please ensure that any documents or information you provide moving forward are legally accurate and based on factual evidence. If you fail to take immediate action to rectify this situation, I will not hesitate to exercise my rights under the law and pursue appropriate legal recourse to protect myself. I expect a prompt response from you acknowledging the receipt of this letter and your commitment to ceasing these false representations. Please be aware that I will be keeping a record of all communication related to this matter. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that you will take the necessary steps to rectify this situation promptly and avoid any further violations of the FD CPA or the laws of Bronx, New York. Sincerely, [Your Name] [Your Address] [City, State, ZIP] [Phone Number] [Email Address]
