A self-employed contractor who performs home maintenance for one or more private residences in the City of Miami-Dade Florida General Home Repair Services Contract does not qualify as a resident of Miami County if the contractor has a principal office located in Miami-Dade County. As a matter of City of Miami-Dade Florida General Home Repair Services Contract law, the contractor's principal location is only considered a location as opposed to a principal building if the contractor maintains a building or part of a building maintained for purposes other than the performing of residential home maintenance. In general, a principal location is a building or part of a building in which the contractor maintains some or all of the necessary services, facilities, and maintenance for maintaining the contractor's primary residence and related assets, such as vehicles, equipment, facilities, office space, and computer equipment.
